Dinosaur Pumpkin Farm: Part 1

I love dinosaurs. I bet everyone does actually. They're just too cool not to like. I constantly read books about them was little, and I would surprise my preschool teachers with my knowledge about them. I liked to read about dinosaurs then, but if I would ever come close to a skeleton I would start panicking. I don't know what it was, maybe the size was too overwhelming. But what really terrified me was getting up close and personal with a real one, or a realistic robotic one at least.

This story starts near Halloween. I was a few years old and my parents wanted to take my friend and me to a pumpkin patch. I was excited to go. I really liked going to pumpkin patches. Sometimes they would have animals. I was obsessed with animals then.

On the day of the excursion my mom dressed me up in jeans and my little leather pilot jacket. She put me in the car and we drove to the pumpkin patch. We would meet my friend there. I can't remember how long the drive was but once we got there the first thing I noticed were the pumpkins. The next thing was my friend, Sammy, and his mom. The next thing was the imposing Tyrannosaurus Rex staring at me.

The pumpkin patch was filled with robotic dinosaurs. Why would those things even be there, I ask myself as I'm writing this. I don't see what they have to do with Halloween or pumpkins. All I know is that my little body was filled with fear, then.
